BeVera Corps is proud to highlight its first deployment to Jamaica in response to impacts of Hurricane Melissa.

This mission reflected our commitment to advancing public health through rapid, community-centered support. It demonstrated how a ready reserve model can strengthen community resilience, address social determinants of health, and enhance response efforts during times of crisis.

Supported recovery and community health stability by distributing food and 41 essential care packages to households and educators.

Infrastructure & Environmental Health

Improved community environmental health by supporting cleanup efforts and infrastructure upgrades, such as a new sidewalk and 7-foot retaining wall, to enhance safety for children and older adults.

Safe Learning Environments

Strengthened safe learning environments through classroom support, student engagement, and targeted health and sanitation efforts.

Student Engagement & Well-Being

Engaged students and supported staff well-being through hands-on activities, wellness education, and morale-building efforts.

Service Delivery & Technology

Partnered with faith-based and education organizations to strengthen service delivery through targeted IT recommendations, needs assessments, and improved data tracking.
